This U of I football legend and LAS student led the Illini to a Homecoming victory with six touchdowns against Michigan in the Memorial Stadium dedication game on October 18, 1924.

Who was he?

Answer: Harold “Red” Grange

He left the University during his senior year to play for the Chicago Bears, and was inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame and Pro Football Hall of Fame.
