Dance performances and the crowning of a May Queen were highlights of this now-forgotten celebration that took place around Mother’s Day during the early 20th century.

What was the name of this event?

Answer: The May Fete

Organized by the Women’s Athletic Association, the fete served as a physical education exhibit for women, and took place in the peach orchard that was next to Lincoln Hall.
