College and Campus Trivia

In 1907, this structure was built in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson’s Rotunda.
Which building is it?
Answer: Foellinger Auditorium
The Auditorium (renamed Foellinger Auditorium in the 1980s) originally served as an assembly hall for the entire student body. Today, with 2,500 seats, it accommodates the University’s largest lectures. The pineapple on the top of the dome is the international symbol of welcome.
