Jerrold M. Levy

Jerrold M. Levy (BS '73, actuarial science) resides in Deerfield and was a James Scholar graduating with high honors. Levy was accepted into the U of I College of Law but decided, instead, to use his degree, taking a position with Alexander & Alexander (now Aon). He spent the next 15 years in the human resource consulting division, where he became a vice president advising corporations on the design and funding of their pension plans. In 1988, Jerry joined Mercer, where he is principal. In his current position, Levy helps organizations set strategic direction for their retirement programs to meet changing workforce needs and improve business results. As a Board member, he "wants to help students realize the value that an LAS education brings by creating a more well-rounded perspective, which enhances creativity and career prospects."
