Strategic Budgeting in LAS

Safeguarding the Future

In the wake of severe financial pressures on the University of Illinois brought about by unprecedented budget deficits within state government, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences—along with other colleges—has been called upon to reduce its current budget and to rethink its financial future in anticipation of reductions in the coming year. Our charge is to determine how to do so while maintaining and strengthening our core mission and ideas.

This website was created to share information about this process, as it becomes available, and to serve as a resource for faculty and staff about budget-related policies and procedures. Please also see the campus budget website, Stewarding Excellence@Illinois.
