New LAS Student Advisory Committee
Now accepting student applications.
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is looking for students to participate in a new LAS Student Advisory Committee during the spring semester and the 2009-2010 school year.
Students on the advisory board will consult with the LAS Office of the Dean on efforts that affect the academic student experience, addressing issues such as enrollment, diversity, international experiences, and advising.
The committee will consist of 10 to 14 undergraduate students (sophomores through seniors) along with representatives from the LAS Office of the Dean. Students should be active within the campus community and are expected to serve one-year renewable terms. The LAS Student Advisory Committee will meet twice each month; attendance is mandatory.
To apply for membership on the LAS Student Advisory Committee, fill out the form and submit either in person to the LAS Office of the Dean, Lincoln Hall Room 294, or via email to LAS-AdvisoryCommittee@illinois.edu. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 20, 2009.
Applicants will be interviewed the week of February 23rd. Questions about the committee may be directed to Matthew Tomaszewski, Assistant Dean in the LAS Office of the Dean, 333-1350 or LAS-AdvisoryCommittee@illinois.edu.
