Regional and National Internships
- Microsoft Corporation
- Microsoft is looking for software and hardware development interns to fill various positions. As a hands-on software development engineer (SDE) intern, you will learn how to make decisions about design and feature implementation, using your mastery of technical tools to help make a product vision a reality. This internship shows you how SDEs bring products to life by working with program managers to ensure strong design and software development engineers in test to ensure quality through testing. Ultimately for the SDE, it is your code that turns concepts into new technologies and services. Other positions include software development engineer in test interns and program manager interns. The preferred method to apply for one of our MS positions is to attend career fairs, tech talks, tech fests, or presentations where you will have an opportunity to speak face-to-face with someone from Microsoft. - Walt Disney World
- Biotechnology interns will maintain a tissue culture production facility; prepare media and culture a wide variety of plants; and collect, package, and deliver the tissue-cultured plants to Epcot merchandise locations. In addition to maintaining the show quality of our growing areas, aquaculture systems and biotechnology lab, interns will spend a significant amount of time leading informative and interactive guest tours through our facilities, along with promoting and selling these tours. Minimum requirements include a pursuit of a college degree or a recent graduate with a background and/or major in agriculture, plant science, horticulture, biology, biotechnology, entomology, aquaculture, education, or related field; a team player with demonstrated verbal communication skills; demonstrated work ethic; and a willingness and ability to adhere to Walt Disney World personal appearance standards, among others. - Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
- Our 12-week paid summer internship will take place at the corporate office of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., in Bentonville, Arkansas. This program allows college students to work on state-of-the art technology, while gaining realistic hands-on programming and business experience. The purpose of the Wal-Mart Information Systems Division (ISD) Internship is to allow college students to work in Wal-Mart’s ISD in a concentrated summer program to determine if they would be good full-time additions to the division upon their graduation. To be eligible for the internship, candidates must be entering or currently in their junior or senior year of college as of May 31, 2010; or have completed their degree but are required to complete an internship before they can receive their diploma; provide an updated resume and show their most recent transcript; and show proficiency in at least one programming language, one networking database, or one hardware system, among others.
